The Banyan Trust is a story of happy children and young people with special needs and disabilities from disadvantaged backgrounds in Bangladesh and India.

Our non-profit organisation was founded in 1998 in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands with the aim to provide high-quality support for children and teenagers with developmental disabilities. Special education, integration, inclusive education, early intervention, health care, nutritional programmes, outreach and family support are the pillars of our work, in close partnership with local like-minded organisations. Educating children with special needs requires the best of staff, commitment, creativity and, above all, vision. The Banyan Trust links its educational approach to the difficult circumstances of our children that often live in poor urban districts. By supporting the Banyan Trust you help us reach out to these vulnerable children, otherwise left behind in neglect and hopelessness. Together we can give them a chance.
